Aleve and gabapentin Drug Interactions
Aleve is a no steroidal anti-inflammatory drug which is used to treat body ache, back pain and inflammation. Gabapentin is an anticonvulsant and analgesic drug. It is primarily applied to treat epilepsy, as it controls seizures by decreasing abnormal excitement in the mind. It is also used in pain caused by post herpetic neuralgia. Its mechanism of action is not known. But it resembles to GABA (gamma amino butyric acid). Gabapentin and Aleve can be taken together, but they show interaction by increasing side effect such as drowsiness, fatigue, weakness. A person cannot drive because it causes vision impairment and it slows down movements of the body.
