Gabapentin (Neurontin) and Percocet Drug Interactions

Percocet is a combination drug containing acetaminophen and oxycodone which is used to relieve moderate to severe pain. When gabapentin is taken with Percocet, mild to moderate interaction occurs between these drugs. Drug interaction may change how your medications work or increase your risk for serious side effects. The serious side effects such as severe drowsiness, shallow breathing and dizziness may be increased if gabapentin is taken with Percocet. You must tell your physician or pharmacist, if you are taking Percocet with gabapentin because your medication doses need to be modified.
